Misr Insurance Company was established by Royal Decree issued on January 14, 1934 by the pioneer of the national economy / Mohamed Talaat Harb, as the first Egyptian insurance company that contributed to breaking the monopoly of foreigners on the insurance activity in Egypt. On 15/7/2006, the President of the Republic issued a decision to establish the Misr Insurance Holding Company and to transfer the four state-owned insurance companies that existed at the time (including Misr Insurance) to subsidiaries of Misr Insurance Holding subject to the provisions of Law No. 203 of 1991 regarding public business sector companies and its regulations Executive.
